Women-led NFT projects
Sep 10, 2022
A long running theme in the wider tech space is how women-led projects are so often underestimated. Or worse, they are outrightly ignored.
It is even more pronounced in the NFT and crypto space.
At Sintra, we're constantly inspired by women founders doing their thing and we want to share that love. We want to talk about these women-led projects. They evolve the space. They innovate. They pushing boundaries. And without these leaders, we simply wouldn't be where we are today.
And the list keeps growing, from new additions, to star-studded projects like World of Women and Deadfellaz, to new utility use cases you’ve never heard of, this blog will keep you updated on the heartbeat of NFTs.
What are we waiting for, let’s begin.
Combining what seems to be 2 opposite concepts, travel and web3, XPLORIUS has their vision and style on lock. With a doxxed team & the most beautiful website we've ever laid eyes on, @xploriusxyz is aiming to be your go-to travel agency. The ultimate question is, is our passport ready?
Run by an *actual* therapist, this token gifts you access to mental health resources, driven by mystical lore and storytelling. The Therapets unique traits and famously friendly community make us very bullish indeed.
Bad Tattoos Town NFT
Truly masters in world-building, Bad Tattoos Town sets the standard for what a really damn cool NFT should look like. Stylistically, this is one that will stand out in your wallet, as well as qualify you for weekly collaborative airdrop art.
Guava Girls NFT
Another collection that's pleasing to the eye and a style that is comparable to a 21st century take on Matisse; we can see Guava Girls being a recognizable NFT for years to come. This team of professionals have certainly caught our attention.
World of Women NFT
This list wouldn’t be complete without the World of Women NFT - led by Co-Founder and Creative Director, Yam Karkai. With backing and partnerships from Reese Witherspoon’s media company combined with the most all-time volume of any women-led project, the WoW crew is funded and well positioned to make major splashes for years to come.
Take Up Space NFT
An up-and-coming project we have been keeping our eyes on is from our friends at Take Up Space who are not only a queer-, woman-, BIPOC-led project but have a mission to open the door to new change makers in the community. They have a beginners web3 playbook for any NFT holder as well as a list of other resources to expand your horizons or just get started.
We would be remiss to not have the world-famous Deadfellaz horde - led by Betty. After announcing a partnership with Wrangler Jeans through an interactive choose-your-own adventure on Twitter and setting up a Halloween party to follow up their party in NYC earlier this year, it seems to be a busy year for the 2022 horde.
Boss Beauties NFT
Led by co-founder and CEO Lisa Mayer, the Boss Beauties are the first project to be features on the NYSE since one of their portraits hangs on the wall of the sixth floor. Five percent of their initial mint has been allocated to fund scholarships, bringing the project’s total scholarship contributions to $140,000 and with nearly 16k total ETH volume in just 1 year of existence, we will surely be hearing more from bosses soon enough.
Honey Badges NFT
Inspired by crypto-philanthropy, Honey Badges NFT is a Solana based project funding dozens of creatives, activists, and mutual aid work. These fuzzy bois get you a ticket to the DAO, allowing you to vote on where mint money goes among various other perks!
